I am about to start a candida cleanse (for the intestine). My question is should I take probiotics simultaneously with the cleanse, or complete the cleanse first and then take probiotics?

I went to a new doctor who tells me I have a candida yeast overgrowth. I do have several inexplicable symptoms that I have now learned are associated with candida. This doctor put me on a regimen of probiotics and antibiotics as well as a diet I am to adhere to for 6 weeks. First of all, I hate the diet portion. I normally eat very healthy, but this diet is extremely restrictive. I miss my fruit! Second of all I feel awful. I am weak and tired and I feel sick. I want to sleep all the time. I have read that this is very normal, and it means the yeast is dying off. I am almost 2 weeks into this and am hoping the symptoms will subside soon, but they seem to be getting worse. Has anyone ever heard anything about this candida thing, good or bad? I have gotten onto a few support forums, and the people who are really into this seem a bit overboard. I need some balanced opinions!
I did go to a "real" medical doctor. He does stuff with alternative medicine, but does mainstream medicine as well. I appreciate the opinion that candida overgrowth is not a real thing. I have heard people say similar things.
It doesn't sound that bad, the diet is mostly mean, vegetables, almonds and beans. There is no fruit allowed and that has been one of the biggest issues. Also I am struggling with the lack of condiments (vinegar, mustard, salad dressing).
As far as the comment about it being factual that candida overgrowth doesn't exist, well that is just ignorant. Can you not allow that there is a possibility this is a real thing? I can allow for the possibility that it is not a real thing. Be objective, man. It may or may not be real, but I feel confident in saying the medical experts who believe it is real are not out to scam anyone. My doctor got all of $70 out of me for the 90 minutes he spent going over my entire medical history (something no traditional dr has ever cared to do). Not enough to make himself rich.
